A Fast Cure for Acne

acne is a type of skin ailment that mainly affects the skin’s oil glands especially on the face. It may not be harmful to the person but it leaves scars on the face that may not easily go away. An oily substance containing dead cells is produced by the glands and it flows through skin follicles all the way to the surface of the skin. Normally, the dead cells are simply cleaned off and they leave the skin. Unfortunately, some substances might block the end of the follicle causing a pimple to appear there. Although this condition is common mainly among teenagers, adults under the age of thirty are also affected. This is attributed by scientist to be due to hormonal changes in the body.

Most people with acne reach for creams or lotions as a first option in a bid to get the acne to go away. However, most of these lotions and creams are actually more harmful than most people realize. They contain harsh ingredients and pollutants that simply suppress the signs of acne hiding them beneath the surface. When they stop using the lotion or cream, the effect is no longer there and the acne simply shows up again.

A fast cure for acne is actually ensuring that the body has all the nutrients it requires and eating a balanced diet. This fast therapy cleanses the skin and does not trap dirt on the inside to hide symptoms that lead to inflammation. Some oils are not helpful to the cleansing process of the skin as they clog the pores. These are the unrefined oils that contain more oils than the body can use. The body removes excess oils from its system through the skin as this is the easiest way to do so.

Another fast cure for acne is exfoliating and cleansing the skin. This means trying to clean from under the surface of the skin and removing the particles that are blocking the surface. Washing the face gently with mild cleansing agents is advised as harsh scrubbing only serves to make matters worse causing more pimpling as the skin attempts to protect its surface. Exfoliation eliminates dead cells on the skins surface that tend to form a layer. To keep skin irritation at a minimum exfoliation should only take place every 3 to 4 days. The follicles can easily extract excess oils which are passed on to the surface by the unclogged pores once the dead skin has been removed.
